This Privacy Policy describes how Dr. Omics Research & Education Pvt Ltd, also referred to as "Dr. Omics Edu" ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects personal information obtained from users ("you" or "your") of our website. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring the confidentiality of your personal information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

This Privacy Policy is also our notice to you under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"). It explains what personal information we process and why, how you give and withdraw consent, the rights you have, and how to raise a grievance or complaint.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

• Identity and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, country and, if you give it, your postal address
• Affiliation information, such as your institute, organisation, course of study or job
• What you send us: course enquiries, partner applications and the details you write in them
• Account and learning records: the courses and batches you join, attendance, test attempts and results, certificates, and your profile photo (if you sign in with Google, the photo on your Google account)
• Payment records: the amount, currency, any coupon used and the payment gateway's transaction reference. We never receive or store your full card or bank details; the payment gateway handles them.
• Usage information: the pages you open on our website, your IP address, and your browser and device type
• Advertising cookie data, only if you allow it (see section 5)

2. How We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, send a course enquiry or partner form, enrol in or pay for a course, take part in classes and tests, subscribe to our newsletter or sign up for updates. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. Some information is collected automatically when you use our website, as described in sections 1 and 5. If we obtain personal information about you from another source, we will notify you accordingly.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account, run the courses you enrol in, process your payments and issue your certificates
• To respond to your enquiries and applications, including a call or message from our counselling team
• To provide updates on training programs, research projects, workshops, job offers, scholarships, admission updates, science news, and technological advancements
• To monitor communications for quality assurance, training, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes
• For marketing purposes, with the option to unsubscribe from direct marketing communications
• Only with your consent, to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited our website (see section 5)

4. Lawful Basis for Processing Personal Information

We process your personal information under the DPDP Act on one of two grounds: your consent, or a legitimate use the Act permits. For example, when you give us your details for a specific purpose, such as asking about a course, we use them for that purpose; and where the law requires us to keep records, such as payment and tax records, we keep them.

5. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

Our website uses a few cookies it needs in order to work: to keep you signed in, to protect our forms from misuse, to remember your cookie choice, and to count visits to our pages for our own statistics. These stay with us and are not used for advertising.

With your permission, we also use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how well our ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. If you choose Allow on our cookie banner, your browser sends Meta:

• the address of each page you visit on our website, and when you visit it
• the actions you take here: viewing a course, pressing Enroll, starting checkout, completing a payment (the course, amount and currency), sending a course enquiry or partner application, creating an account, and opening our WhatsApp, phone, email or brochure links
• the technical details Meta collects with its tools: your IP address, your browser and device information, and Meta's cookie identifiers (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from one of our ads)

We do not send your name, email address or phone number with these events. Meta may combine this information with a Facebook or Instagram account you hold, under Meta's own privacy policy, and may process it outside India.

The Meta Pixel does not load until you choose Allow, and if you choose Decline, nothing is sent to Meta. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our pages or the button below. When you withdraw your consent, we stop sending events and delete Meta's cookies from our website. We remember your choice in a cookie for 180 days and then ask you again. If you are under 18, please choose Decline.

6. Sharing of Personal Information

We share personal information only where it is needed to provide our services, with service providers who process it on our instructions, such as:

• payment gateways, such as Cashfree and HDFC Bank, to take your payments
• our customer-relationship management tools, so our counselling team can respond to your enquiry
• email and WhatsApp messaging providers, to send you confirmations and updates
• Google, if you sign in with Google, and the platform that runs your live classes, such as Microsoft Teams

With your consent, we also share the information described in section 5 with Meta. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose personal information where the law requires us to.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, and we securely delete or anonymize your information thereafter.

8. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal information and to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

9. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with
• have your personal information corrected, completed, updated or erased
• withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it
• have a grievance about our handling of your personal information addressed by us
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

10. Grievances and Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please write to us first at support@dromicslabs.com with "Privacy grievance" in the subject line, and we will look into it and reply. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Consent and Withdrawing It

Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it with a clear action: ticking the consent box when you create an account or sign in (we record when you did), or choosing Allow on our cookie banner. Simply using our website is not consent to advertising cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time: use Cookie settings for advertising cookies, or contact us for anything else. Withdrawing your consent does not affect what was done before you withdrew it, and if you withdraw consent that a service depends on, such as the account for a course you are enrolled in, we may no longer be able to provide that service.

12. Children's Information

Under the DPDP Act, anyone under the age of 18 is a child. If you are under 18, please do not register or send us your details without the consent of your parent or lawful guardian, and choose Decline on our cookie banner. We do not use the Meta Pixel to track or target children, and if we learn that we have collected a child's personal information without that consent, we will delete it.

13. Third-Party Privacy Policies

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or advertisers. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for more information, including Meta's at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be shown on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and if we change what we ask your consent for, we will ask you again. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
