Why she started Dr. Omics Edu
Dr. Deepshikha Satish founded Dr. Omics Edu to close a gap she met first-hand: biology graduates with strong wet-lab foundations, and no way to learn the computational skills that modern biology runs on.
The company was built on a single conviction: every biology student in India — whether at a tier-1 research institute or a small college in a smaller city — deserves access to world-class bioinformatics training.
That conviction now reaches well beyond the classroom. Under a 5-year MoU with APSCHE, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Dr. Omics Edu will provide bioinformatics internships to more than 30,000 students across Andhra Pradesh.

From the research bench to founder
She holds a PhD from ICGEB — the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, a UN-affiliated intergovernmental research institution in New Delhi and one of the world's most prestigious life sciences research centres.
Her doctoral research is backed by a publication record in peer-reviewed international journals spanning genomics, bioinformatics and precision medicine. That research depth is what she brings to every Dr. Omics Edu course.
