Dr. Omics Research Secures DST-NIDHI Grant for Precision Medicine Innovation
Dr. Omics has been awarded a Startup Ignition Grant under the DST-NIDHI program. Presented by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Science and Technology
About this Achievement
We are honored to announce that DrOmics Labs has achieved a major milestone in the Indian deep-tech and MedTech landscape. Our team was awarded a grant of ₹5,00,000 through the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations (NIDHI), a flagship program of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. \n High-Level Recognition: A Moment with the Union Minister The highlight of this journey was receiving the award directly from Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Science and Technology. The Minister’s commendation of our work in genomics and pharmacogenomics serves as a powerful catalyst for our goal: bridging the gap between academic research and clinical application. Impact Project: Cardio-PGx-India This funding is strategically allocated to our "Cardio-PGx-India" initiative. By leveraging multi-pharmacogenomic diagnostics, we are developing data-driven solutions for Personalized CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) Management. This project integrates our expertise in bioinformatics online education with real-world clinical data to improve patient outcomes across Bharat. Strategic Partnerships & Mentorship Our success is built on a foundation of collaboration with India’s leading scientific and clinical institutions: Incubation: Supported by Delhi Technological University (DTU) and the DTU Innovation & Incubation Foundation (DTU-IIF) within their specialized "Fab-Lab" environment. Scientific Guidance: Mentorship from Dr. Dinesh Gupta (Translational Bioinformatics, ICGEB) and technical support from Amit Singh Rathod and Dr. Rahul Singh Amritraj. Clinical Validation: Expertise provided by Dr. R.R. Mantri (HoD Cardiology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital) and Dr. Anupam Goel (AIIMS, Patna). At DrOmics Research and Education, we remain committed to fostering an ecosystem where bioinformatics training meets genomic innovation to create a healthier, tech-driven future.
